COVID-19 Protocols and Procedures

Welcome back! We are excited to see you!

The day before your appointment you will receive a call from our clinic with an over the phone screen to ensure it is safe and appropriate to enter the clinic.

The physician or therapist you are seeing may also do your medical history over the phone with you to reduce time in clinic.

We will ask for a copy of your OHIP card and/or insurance card to be sent to us ahead of time so there will be less interactions with the front desk.

When you arrive at the clinic you will be screened again over the phone from outside our clinic space.

Upon entering your temperature will be taken at the door. This is to ensure the safety of all of our patients and staff.

Please be advised that our staff are screened every morning prior to coming in. They must also complete the same pre-screening.
Staff also have their temperature taken upon arrival.

You will see all of our staff donning personal protective equipment (PPE) including face masks, and often gloves and goggles.

You will see that our lovely administrators are now sitting behind a plexiglass partition. We ask that patients wear a form of mask into the clinic. If you do not have a mask, one can be provided to you for a fee.

We will not have a waiting area space during this time. Please ensure that you wait in your vehicle or other area prior to your appointment time. You will be called or sent a text message when your physician or practitioner is ready for you.

You will then be greeted at the door and your temperature will be taken.

You will be taken into a freshly cleaned and disinfected exam room right away. After each visit the room will be completely disinfected as well as all highly used surfaces.

The size of our exam room allows for plenty of distance between patients and the physician.

We ask where possible to not utilize our facilities at this time.

All patients and staff must maintain at least 6ft of distance where possible. Where not possible, the patient will be instructed at that time by the physician or therapist on how examinations, etc. will be safely carried out.

The same protocols will be followed for therapy patients. Phase one of therapy re-opening will see only one patient in the therapy area at a time. Our treatment area will allow for one patient and one practitioner on either side at a time. When we move to phase two we will then have one patient and therapist on either end of the clinic. Once we allow another patient and therapist in during phase 2 we will have directional signage to your designated treatment area so there will not be any crossing of paths.

You will see in our video the paths, and that the treatment areas are very spread out.

Every piece of equipment and surface touched will be cleaned/disinfected before and after each patient and staff use.

Finally, all of our appointment times are lengthened so there is little to no over lap with another patient during phase one.

Where fees for your appointment are applicable, we ask where possible to use tap or other touch-less means of payment. The transaction machine will be cleaned between each patient.

We will have hand sanitizer and disinfectant spread throughout the clinic, and we are happy to answer any questions you may have.
