Dr. Shivinder Oberoi, a 2018 graduate of the Chiropractic program at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario, began his educational journey at Sir Allan MacNab Secondary School. He then completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Honours at McMaster University. Driven by a strong interest in healthcare and a desire to assist others, Dr. Oberoi pursued a Doctorate in Chiropractic.
Dr. Oberoi specializes in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries, including those affecting bones, joints, muscles, and nerves, as well as concussions, sprains, strains, and tears. His approach to treatment involves spinal manipulations or “adjustments,” but extends beyond this to include joint mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, patient education, reassurance, and rehabilitative exercises. While adjustments can be beneficial in certain cases, Dr. Oberoi emphasizes a comprehensive approach that addresses his patients’ specific needs, focusing on movement, education, and rehabilitation to alleviate pain and functional limitations in daily activities. His care model is not limited to a “Crack-and-go” approach but is tailored to identify the source of injury, reduce pain, enhance functional capacity, and restore prior function. Recognizing that pain and injury are multifaceted challenges, Dr. Oberoi utilizes a range of treatment methods to effectively address these issues.
Dr. Oberoi welcomes patients from all walks of life, whether they are desk-bound professionals, busy caregivers, active individuals, athletes, or those dealing with new or chronic injuries. He has a deep passion for basketball, supporting the NBA, the Toronto Raptors, and playing in various leagues such as the Hamilton Basketball Association, North of the Border Basketball League, Hamilton Muslim Basketball Association, and Basketball World Toronto. Additionally, he has experience coaching teams in the Hamilton Basketball Association and looks forward to continuing this involvement. Outside of basketball, Dr. Oberoi enjoys working out, cooking, and keeping up with the latest TV shows, movies, and anime.
