Jenn graduated from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor’s of Health Science and Biology followed by a Bachelor’s of Applied Health Sciences in Athletic Therapy from Sheridan in 2008. For several years, Jenn was the Head Athletic Therapist for the McMaster Mauraders Football Team. In 2013, she took over as director of Phoenix Active Therapy. She is pleased to have the continued patronage of the many satisfied patients who have chosen Phoenix Sports Medicine Experts for its qualified and knowledgeable staff through its transition to a new name and location.

Jenn is a strong believer in the importance of continuing education in the medical sciences. Her treatment focus is on spinal mobilization, muscle energy, osteopathic techniques and soft tissue release. She also strives to continuously increase her knowledge of athletic conditioning.

Before McMaster, Jenn served as an assistant therapist with Wilfrid Laurier University Football team. Her vast on-field experience includes the position of Head Therapist with the Ontario Provincial Football team, six years as the Head Therapist with Ontario Football conference/Ontario Varsity Football League and two years with the National Football Conference and CJFL. Jenn has served as part of the medical staff for the annual East/West bowl championship at both Wilfrid Laurier and McMaster Universities. Her field and clinical experience include working with Junior, National and Olympic level athletes including NHL, IHL, ECHL hockey players, premier league soccer, elite and national level basketball, as well as Provincial and National wrestling and rugby athletes.

Jenn has assisted with medical coverage for both the 2005 Ontario Winter and Summer games. In 2006 and 2007 Jenn held the position of chief therapist with OFSAA wrestling and OFSAA rugby in 2009. Jenn served as the medical conveyor for the 2010 Women’s CIS Basketball Championships.

In working with general population clients to elite athletes, Jenn has a passion for helping people regain and/or achieve an active well-rounded lifestyle. Jenn’s clinical treatments involve an emphasis on manual therapy and reconditioning. Her strong foundation in dance enables her to be very successful in the rehabilitation of injuries in dance. Her overall rehabilitation philosophies are strongly rooted in treating the body as a whole. Jenn has recently started her study of Osteopathy and is looking forward to integrating the profession into her current practice.
